Zendesk welcomes Chris Donato as President of Sales and Field Engineering

Experience at Oracle and Celonis will help accelerate go-to-market momentum

Zendesk announced today it has appointed Chris Donato as its new President of Global Sales and Field Engineering. Donato brings over 25 years of experience in enterprise selling and has an exceptional track record in driving business results and developing go-to-market (GTM) organizations.

“Chris’s proven track record of success in global sales management will be instrumental in delivering our innovative AI-powered solutions to customers,” said Tom Eggemeier, CEO, Zendesk. “Chris gets to know his customers, what they need and how technology can help them drive business results. Paired with his deep understanding of customer engagement, I know his contributions will propel Zendesk toward new horizons of success.”

Donato will lead teams across field sales, presales, customer success, and consulting. His primary focus will be championing the company’s market-leading AI customer experience solutions, to a broad range of market segments, from SMBs to Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to joining Zendesk, Donato served as the President of Global Sales at Celonis and was a key member of the Executive Committee. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in expanding the company’s global GTM organization across various regions and industries. Before his time at Celonis, Donato spent 26 years at Oracle, where he held several leadership positions, including executive vice president of Oracle’s multibillion-dollar N.A. Applications and Consulting Business. There, he was instrumental in advancing Oracle’s comprehensive back-office and front-office cloud solutions.
