The Extended Macros App has been designed to solve simple yet meaningful problems by adding additional actions for your macros. Follow the set up instructions in the help centre article here to get started. Then create your macros and start using the additional actions quickly and easily.

About the Extended Macros app

Do you ever find it cumbersome to remember or have to type out CC email addresses? Think it’s tedious to constantly search for the same requester over and over? Or maybe you need to more easily set the Ticket Sharing Field or add a linked problem ticket. It could even be that you want to quickly set the outbound email address of your ticket notifications via macro. If so, then Extended Macros may be the right tool for you, by adding additional actions into the Zendesk macros, agents can save time, reduce errors, and improve outcomes.

This app makes it easy to update the skills on a ticket, update any of the Zendesk custom fields including text, numeric, date, regex, and lookup fields, set a due date, and change the organization associated with the ticket, all by extended the actions available via Zendesk's own powerful macro functionality. Our use-case was for 'Easily set the outbound email address (recipient address) that email notifications are sent from' : at first it did not work as we wanted. However Jimmy was very helpfull in understanding our use-case and making rather quick updates. We beta-tested the app and continued working with Jimmy untill it worked perfectly well. It took us only 3 months of back-and-forth before obtaining a 100% great result! Very happy with the help that this app provides and with the manner in which Jimmy was understanding, listening, considering, keeping us informed and getting the app fixed and working! A 5+ star rating !

Could you please provide better documentation?? The images are in such poor resolution, I cannot see anything. I still don't know how to se this up after installation

This app is a MUST have for our organization! I was having an issue with getting this to work, but Jimmy was EXTREMELY helpful. We got on a call and had it figured out quickly! Not only that, but he let me know that we can reach out if there is a feature/function that Zendesk cannot natively do, to see if it's something that can be built. Very much appreciated!!
