Working with your help desk
Admission and Pre-population
- An open help desk means that you can let everybody contact your help desk.
- By asking users to register, you trigger an email verification process for first-time users allowing them to submit tickets.
- If you want to restrict usage of your help desk to certain users or domains, you can define a white list for trusted e-mail domains, e.g. yourcompany.com.
- If you ask users to register, or users register on their own, they will receive a customized message with a verification link.
- Zendesk comes fully featured with an end-user community. If you want to provide public access to the forums of your community, enable the "Public forums" option.
- Zendesk supports OpenID allowing your end-users to log in to Zendesk using their OpenID credentials.
By disabling "open help desk" end-users can only be created manually by an agent, or by importing and synchronizing users from your local AD or similar directory using our easy-to-use REST API.
